Inspire, educate and make waves for the ocean!

The aim is to raise awareness, inspire, build community and also to contribute to safeguarding the ocean & marine wildlife. We want to build a movement to bring ocean literacy into the mainstream and reach communities that wouldn't usually consider the importance of our ocean

How to Join the Challenge

The concept is simple- respond to these 5 ocean prompts designed to celebrate, raise awareness and highlight the work of our charity partner- 30th May - 11th June 2025

Use your creativity to celebrate, educate and inspire for Planet Ocean!

Our Partners for 2025: Ocean Culture Life

Every year we partner with an amazing organisation to fundraise and highlight the important work they do! Ocean Culture Life is where creativity meets Ocean Literacy so was a perfect match!

By championing the conservation, protection, and enhancement of our marine environments, OCL aims to expand and deepen public awareness of the pressing issues and challenges facing our oceans. Through sharing the compelling stories of those committed to ocean conservation, we seek to inspire action and encourage more individuals to join the vital movement to protect our oceans.

Meet the Hosting Artists for 2025

Our Hosting Artists

Every year this challenge is hosted by a wonderful team of internationally acclaimed artists. We are here to inspire and support anyone participating in the challenge.

Our hosting artists will be supporting them in various ways through auctions, print sales and by telling the stories of the incredible work they do.

We have some artists who really define themselves as ocean artists but others who usually work in other areas. This way we cross-pollinate more & spread the word wider. We've loved receiving questions about some of our previous prompts- "what is blue carbon?" & receiving comments from participants to say that that had seen seagrass on their coastline & hadn’t known what it was before. That is exactly our intention! Let's get excited, make some art & some noise for planet ocean
